Dario Cannizzaro was born in the sun-eaten Napoli, Italy in 1982. He moved to Ireland in 2011, and has called it home ever since.

From the age of seven, Dario started to make up stories. As a matter of fact, he never stopped, and is now trying to make enough of them to make storytelling his primary work.

Since this article is written by himself, which is me, I'll switch to the first person and won't bother you with more details you don't really care about.

Hi. I'm Dario. Thanks for reading this. And thanks Lucia for the opportunity to express myself here!

Indie authors have to fight a very hard battle - in a world where availability of content is more than the time that the average person has, it is much easier to read another book by Stephen King, watch yet another TV show, than to invest in an unknown author.

So, on behalf of all indie authors in the world, let me thank YOU, readers who are tired of being shoveled the same thing down your throat over and over again, and are trying to break free from the mold of market-imposed content.

My jam is, as you’ve read already, telling stories. If you’re on the verge about an indie author, check out short stories, as they’re the hardest thing to write according to many well known authors (like one of my favorite, Cormac McCarthy). I have plenty of these, and you can check them out in my collection titled “Of Life, Death, Aliens and Zombies”.

I have published a novel, titled “Dead Men Naked”, which is quirky, humorous, profound, and it talks about a road trip with your own personification of Death. It's dark but funny and full of poetry.

I definitely have a knack for poetry - and weird titles.

You can buy my books on Amazon, here is a handy link for you!

Currently, I am writing a script for my first feature film, and two more novels, one of which will probably see the light by the end of 2021. It’s a mix of Elmore Leonard and Philip K. Dick, where a beaten down detective has to solve a possible crime in a world where reincarnation has been proven real.
